I'm a street photographer.

 

New York City is one of the most photographed places on the planet.  It is part of my culture, my heritage and love.  It is also one of the most diverse, energetic and down right eccentric places to be. The city changing its moods like the weather. I have lived in the city all my life. For over 9 years I have been attempting to capture some of the emotions from deep observation of the city streets.

 

It has been a process of learning and overcoming my fear of shooting strangers. I have gone from the boredom of walking the streets in order to get my feet wet. To the joy of capturing key moment of life. Street photography has taken many hours of my life but it also brings passion, much energy and good vibes.

For me street photography is a vehicle for storytelling, capturing a moment in time yet allowing for endless possibilities of interpretation. With the continuing rise of the digital age and popularity of social  media, street photography has propelled like we've never seen before. Still there is more opportunity for street photography to  be recognized and appreciated by the masses.
